ABOUT YOUR MY BELLA COLOR HAIR COLORIST WEB PAGE TEMPLATE:

HOW THE MY BELLA COLOR HAIR COLORIST MEMBER TEMPLATE WORKS...
As you register you will be asked to fill in the template form. It is highly recommended that before you do so, you are aware of what it is you are actually creating.

WHAT THE TEMPLATE LOOKS LIKE ...
On the left is a thumbnail image of the template layout. Given in order are: the TITLE that you will create in the TITLE text box, Picture1, Picture2, Picture 3, your FIRST and LAST NAME, SALON NAME, SALON ADDRESS, City, ST, zip, (salon) Phone, your EMAIL, descriptive text, Picture4, Picture5, Picture6, Picture7, Picture8, Picture9, Picture10, and a link to your EMAIL.

WHAT HAPPENS ONCE YOU DESIGN, EDIT AND UPLOAD YOUR TEMPLATE?
After you have created your template, it is saved and automatically placed in the Hair Colorist Locator Search Engine database.

CAN I CHANGE THE INFORMATION AND PICTURES ON MY TEMPLATE?
Absolutely! Anytime you want to make changes, you can edit text, change photos by deleting them and uploading new pictures.

HOW YOUR HAIR COLORIST WEB PAGE IS LOCATED ON THE HAIR COLORIST LOCATOR...
Your web page is automatically placed on the Hair Colorist Locator search engine database. The people who search on the Locator for a new Hair Colorist will enter only the "City" and "State" in which they are searching for a new Hair Colorist.

DOES MY TEMPLATE APPEAR ANYWHERE ELSE?
To help make your web page appear on other search engines, the web developers who programmed the My Bella Color Member template have made it possible for other Search Engines to read your template CODE (because it is the code and the text you write on your web page that the other search engines will read.).

GETTING STARTED...
The first thing you will be reading is about the CODE WORDS you will be adding to your web page. These WORDS will determine how the other search engines find and rank your page. These CODE WORDs ARE NOT VISIBLE on the front of your web page. They become part of the CODE "behind" your web page.

ABOUT YOUR PAGE TITLE AND META TAG DESCRIPTIONS AND KEYWORD PHRASES:

META WHAT???!
These are very precise, well-thought-out, WORDS that go INSIDE of a TAG "<"word">" of the web page CODE. Search engines READ inside of the TAGS and also the regular TEXT you write on your web page. As you are designing your My Bella Color template form the WORDS you enter into the TITLE, META TAG DESCRIPTION, and META TAG KEYWORDS are placed into the CODE of your web page.

Since you will be supplying all of the WORDS and TEXT for your web page, please make certain you understand how this works and why it is so important that it be done correctly.

What do meta tags look like?
Here's an example of meta description and meta keywords tags:

<html> <head>
<TITLE>
<meta name="description" content="Your site's summary here">
<meta name="keywords" content="Your site's, keywords, here">

What is the TITLE tag?
This is the NAME of your web page. It is short and sweet. Such as "Hair Colorist, John Doe, Salon Name, City, ST".
This title description is the TITLE that will appear on the top of your web page.
The title description alss appears in browser bar as someone views your page!

What is the META TAG DESCRIPTION?
The words used in the META TAG DESCRIPTION are words read by the search engines AND is the description shows up as the "back" button is clicked, AND shown on some of the search engines' result pages.

Why use the META TAG DESCRIPTION?
The meta description tag describes your site's content, giving search engines' spiders an accurate summary of your web page, filled with multiple keywords. This is the text that appears on some search engines' results page and as someone clicks on the BACK button on Internet Explorer. Make sure its contents are enticing to the reader.

A meta description tag can also boost your rankings on some engines.

KEYWORDS in the META DESCRIPTION TAG
The meta description tag should contain multiple keywords organized in a logical sentence. Place the keywords at the beginning of your description and close to each other to achieve the best possible rankings.

What are the META TAG KEYWORDS?
The keywords are words that potential new Clients would type into the search field to find any combination of: a particular person, a particular salon, offering a particular service, located in a particular area. Since we are dealing with Hair Coloring, and you are a "Hair Colorist", who happens to have a "Name", work at "Salon Name", "specialize" in "Color Correction", in "Town Name", "City Name" and "State", take some time to write a list of words that accurately describe you, your area, your services, etc. These are just some of the words that you can use in the meta tags to help potential new Hair Color Clients locate you! When creating your list, list them in order of importance. "Hair Colorist" would be amongst the first words!

Why use META TAG KEYWORDS?
A meta keyword tag lists all the keywords for which you would like search engines to rank your site. Although not all search engines support this tag, you should use it for the ones that do.

KEYWORDS in the META KEYWORD TAG
This is what the tag is all about! You don't have to come up with any sentences; just list your keywords in order of importance. Include all of your most important keywords, but don't overdo it. We recommend limiting this tag to a reasonable amount of keywords - up to 20.

We recommend that you:

  • Use the meta description and meta keywords tags for your web page
  • Include keywords when creating your description

  • Make the description appealing to the reader

  • For the meta keywords tag, list your keywords in order of importance
  • Don't over-do the number of keywords for the meta keywords tag
Combining the above information - your code should read something like this after you have entered your Title, Description and Keyword Phrases:

<html> <head>
<Hair Colorist, John Doe, Salon Name, City, ST, Hair Color Specialist >
<meta name="description" content="Hair Coloring by John Doe at Salon Name, City, ST, specializing in Hair Color Foiling work.">
<meta name="keywords" content="hair coloring, hair colorist, YOUR NAME, city, state, salon name, hair color foil weaving, highlighting, lowlighting, color correction, hair color foiling picture, color correction specialist,">

CREATING YOUR META TAG TITLE:

It is best to include your keywords in the title too!

The sample above is very short and sweet, but gets the point across well.

Do NOT use small common words, such as "Hair Colorist, John Doe FROM Salon Name IN Denver, CO, I specialize IN Hair Color.

The same can be condensed to read, "Hair Colorist, John Doe, Salon Name, Denver, CO, Hair Color Specialist.

CREATING YOUR META TAG WEB PAGE DESCRIPTION:

This description will be read by the search engines, and should include your KEYWORDS too!

However, it must result in a logical, condensed summary/explanation of your Hair Colorist web page.

CREATING YOUR META TAG KEYWORDS AND KEY PHRASES :

Think of all of the WORDS that someone would search for in order to LOCATE YOU - AS A HAIR COLORIST.

Make certain that the words you use ACCURATELY DESCRIBE the actual work you are capable of doing. Although KEYWORDS can get people into your Hair Chair, it is not fair to write that you are a "hair color removal specialist", when you do not provide that service.

Only use the KEYWORDS that accurately and truthfully describe your Hair Coloring work and services you actually offer.

CREATING YOUR TEXT DESCRIPTION:

As you create your web page you will be entering text (good, old, normal TEXT) that will appear on your web page - ON THE COMPUTER SCREEN (not ONLY in the code).

When you write this text description, USE YOUR KEY WORDS IN IT TOO!

As you write your text, remember, that potential new Hair Color Clients will be reading your text. Make it friendly and yet professional.

This is where you can introduce yourself, write your resume, include your services, prices, etc. The MORE text you have with KEYWORDS in it is better for your Hair Colorist web page search engine ranking.

When you enter the text on your template you will see a little arrow in the upper corner above the text box area. This is the text EDITING TOOL BAR.

You can use it to change the text FONT, SIZE, COLOR, PLACEMENT, etc.

You can also create your text in a word document and copy and paste it into the template text description box.

Once you have completed your text description, you can always edit it at anytime. Simply use the Member ACCESS to access MY TEMPLATE.
